St Vincent de Paul Society


Nature of the Society's Work:

Founded in 1971, St Vincent's provide and manage affordable housing across the North West of England.

From offices in Manchester, Bolton, Rochdale and Nelson
we deliver a whole range of services:

  • General homes for rent
  • Sheltered housing for older people
  • Supported housing for particular needs, eg young single mums
  • Homes for part ownership, part rent
  • Foyer housing for young people (Blackburn and Manchester)
  • Adapted housing for people with disabilities
  • Live /work accommodation.
  • Larger houses for Black and Minority Ethnic families
  • Extra care schemes
  • City Centre living

As well as a roof over your head, we can provide:

  • Warden services
  • Comprehensive housing management and maintenance service
  • Tenancy and welfare support
  • Training and employment support
  • Community development
  • A care and repair service in Pendle, Lancashire
  • IT & Internet access for the elderly

We are governed by a Board of Management, which includes Tenant Members. We employ over 110 staff to provide a comprehensive service to our customers. Our Cornerstones define in a clear, concise way our approach to service delivery and what is important to us, and to customers generally. We care about:
