Free Numeracy and Literacy Support Available
The Centre has obtained a European Social Fund grant to offer Free Numeracy
and Literacy (level 1 & 2) support to employees of Small to Medium sized
enterprises in the Greater Manchester Area. (less than 250 employees) This
will also apply to Charities and not for profit agencies.
The courses will be run at St. Antony's Centre of - if there is a group
in an area - we will offer training off site.
This is to help people with numeracy and literacy needs, it is known that
25% of the UK workforce need support in this area of their education and
training. Tutors will assess candidates in private and all enquiries are
treated in the strictest confidence. We are aware that people are reluctant
to admit they may lack English of maths skills, therefore our tutors are
very sensitive to the approach we use and help to build the confidence of
the trainees in the early stages of the support we give.
If you are aware of any people who may benefit from this course, who work
for your department, organisation or parish, please let them know about
this opportunity.
100 free places available.
Training can be delivered on a flexible basis. We have 100 free places available
and would like to see Salford Diocesan contacts/ employees benefit from
this project.
