The family is the basic cell of society. It is a communion of persons called to serve life, to be open to life and to participate in the development of society as a believing and evangelising community (cfr Catechism of the Catholic Church 1602 ff).

The Diocese of Salford is keen to rehabilitate the family in all walks of life. This section, still largely under development, will be dedicated to that task. We have provided a few introductory articles, in the hope that more resources will be available over the coming weeks and months.
