Department for Social Responsibility

In the new diocesan structures, unveiled earlier this year, the Centre for Church and Industry became part of the Department for Social Responsibility
(along with Faith & Justice; Catholic Welfare Society & Catholic Children's Rescue Society). The new diocesan department was one of four announced at that time (see below).

The Centre for Church & Industry (St. Antony's Centre) is responsible as the Office for Church and Industry within the Department. .

Family Forum - transfers to Department for Vocation

Since the Summer of 2005 and with the completion of the Listening 2004 Diocesan and National Consultation responsibility for this work has now moved from the Centre for Church and Industry to the Department for Vocation under the guidance of Fr. Ian Farrell.

In response to Listening 2004 the Bishop announced the formation of a new Office for Marriage and Family which falls within the Department for Vocation. After meeting the established Family Forum, Fr. Farrell welcomed the valuable work undertaken over the past 15 years on behalf of the Diocese and intends to retain this type of Forum to help inform and promote the mission to Marriage and Family.
