Our Mission:-
The Catholic Children's Rescue Society provides social care and support
services to vulnerable children, including those with disability, young
people and families, across the Diocese of Salford, in accordance with
its Catholic ethos and values.
The Society's aims
are:
- To promote the
values of Catholic Social Welfare working with children of all faiths
and none in
the Diocese of Salford.
- To provide services
to people, many of whom would not otherwise receive help and support.
- To deploy staff,
finance and property and any other resources to the maximum benefit
of those we seek to serve whilst monitoring financial viability.
- To ensure high
quality services that are responsive to local needs by involving users
and staff in the development, monitoring and evaluation of services.
- To co-operate
with other statutory and voluntary agencies in developing and monitoring
appropriate quality services.
Services offered include:
- Three Residential
Children's Homes, located in Manchester and Stockport
registered by the Commission for Social Care Inspection.
- Family Placement
- CCRS is registered as both an Adoption Agency and a Fostering Agency.
- Assessment and
Respite provision for children with disability.
- Supported Accommodation
for young single women and their children.
- Social work support
to families in the community.
- Court services
Non - Agency Adoption.
The Society, which
is a Registered Charity, works in partnership with Diocesan schools, parishes,
Local Authorities and other voluntary organisations. The Society's headquarters
are based in Didsbury, South Manchester but there are sites in Blackburn,
Bolton, Central Manchester and Rochdale as well as our shops in Chorlton
and Harperhey.
